ABOUT US

My name is Erich Lagasse, and I am an English and Spanish bilingual writer and editor. I am developing the EN/ES Editorial Manual to help native English speakers develop their Spanish writing skills and native Spanish speakers do so in English.

I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, by my Peruvian mother and American father, and I learned English and Spanish simultaneously at home and at the bilingual American School in Lima. After graduation, I moved to San Antonio, Texas, to study at St. Mary’s University, where I majored in marketing. I have also lived and worked in Cusco, Peru; Miami, Florida; Seville, Spain; and Houston, Texas.

I have earned an MFA in Creative Writing from National University; the Professional Sequence in Editing certificate awarded by Berkeley Extension; both the Editing for Style in Spanish and the Spanish Orthographic Editing diplomas offered by the Penguin Random House Editorial Group in Spain; and the Business Writing and Storytelling certificate presented by The Economist magazine.
