The English present perfect progressive

There is no tense in Spanish that resembles the English present perfect progressive, which expresses continuous actions or situations that began in the past and continue to the present. But there is a verbal periphrase constructed with the present tense of the verb haber (he, has, ha, hemos, han) + estado (the past participle of the verb estar) + the gerund of the verb that expresses the action or state that resembles the English present perfect progressive.
